Parent Representative Vacancy

Details Parent Reps sit on the Scout Group’s Executive Committee to conform with the Scout Association rules. They are here to raise any issues parents may have with their child’s section, or to liaise with if parents have any great fundrasing ideas or wish to help out at an event or activity. We are currently looking for parent rep from each Section within the Group.

Gift Aid Secretary Vacancy

Fundraising Coordinator Vacancy

Hours 2 a month
Details Help to raise vital funds for our group by:

  • Leading the monthly fundraising meeting (day and location tbd)
  • Coordinating fundraising events throughout the year
  • Liaise with executive committee and leaders to promote and get support for these events

Section Assistant Vacancy

Hours 1-4 a month

Building dens is a real treat when you are nine, and even more fun when you are an adult! We need you to come along and support our young people. Not just dens, but help do map work, craft, walking, hiking and even make stuff from bits of wood (we call that pioneering). What we need is an extra pair of hands to help the leaders provide these fantastic activities.

Scout Leader Vacancy

Do you like adventure? Do you like sharing your experience and knowledge with young people?

As a Scout Leader or Assistant you really experience the true outdoor adventure. Working with young people to develop their activity programme they will challenge your knowledge and skills to get the best out of you for their development. Be it taking a group canoeing, rafting, walking or just cooking in the woods on an open fire, you will soon learn new skills like making an egg sandwich over an open fire.

  • Plan, deliver and coordinate exciting activities for our young people on a weekly basis
  • Support and encourage young people in their development
  • Organise a range of camps and outdoor activities
  • No experience necessary
  • Full Training provided

Assistant Beaver Scout Leader Vacancy

Title Assistant Beaver Scout Leader
Hours 2 a week

Help to run the weekly meetings: run activities, games or work with small groups working with 6 to 8 year olds

Beavers are great fun to work with and adults can very easily enjoy a second chance to get messy, creative and have fun. Learning through experiences has never been such fun and working through the Beaver Scout Challenge badges with a group really brings your creative side out. These badges provide a balanced programme covering our 6 core areas of Beliefs and Attitudes; Community; Fitness; Creative; Global and Outdoor and Adventure. So come and join the adventure and begin to learn what Scouting has to offer.
